There are many reputable companies doing wind and solar projects in Ontario, but Pathchoice specializes in biomass cogeneration projects.

Coordinated the submission of the successful bid in the OPA CHP-III program (2009). Project is now under construction (15 MWe)
Developing several other biomass cogeneration proposals under the OPA FIT program (ongoing).

Biomass projects are location-specific and require close attention to the critical variables at each site:

security of biomass supply
sustainability of biomass sources
location, stability, and diversity of steam hosts
stakeholder acceptance
permitting and staffing issues

In addition, pros and cons of various technologies need to be carefully considered. In some projects, there may be compelling reasons to depart from the conventional steam Rankine cycle. In other cases, conventional solutions are still the best.

We are staying fully involved with changes resulting from the Green Energy and Economy Act in Ontario with respect to biomass generation projects and with the evolution of the OPA FIT program.
